Online banks - Part1 - PayPal

The first step in your way to make money online is to have an online bank account to receive payments and funds , it will be your online wallet , not only you will receive payments , but also you can use them to buy stuff online and send payments to other person .

There are many payment processors online , there are PayPal , Payoneer , Payza (formerly AlertPay ) , MoneyBookers , LibertyReserve , WebMoney 

The most common bank which is being used worldwide is   PayPal , we are going to explain it in this post , but the only problem with this bank that it doesn't support the whole features in many countries including some middle eastern countries , as it just allows sending payments only not receiving nor withdrawing , so if you are resident in one of these countries don't lose the hope , there is a solution ,  which is having a US bank account or US payment service account  given by Payoneer ,  and register in PayPal as a US resident , we are going to discuss Payoneer an US payment service in next topic . 

so let's get started  :

For the people who don't know  PayPal , It's an online payment processor which works as a medium between buyer and seller , or between sender and receiver  , and it's secure as it doesn't give the credit card data to the seller , and makes it easier to receive payments from companies that pay to you , this is an article on Wikipedia explaining it :

Now let's move to sign up :

Registration tutorial :

 I'm going to show you step by step how to create a Paypal account .

1- go to paypal homepage

 you will be redirected to this page 

  

2- Click Sign UP button  , it will take you to this page

3- Choose your country from the drop menu , then click get started from ( PayPal for personal use ) section , you will be redirected to registration form 

Enter your data as it is shown in the picture and check the ( yes , I have read and agree to the following ) box then click Agree and create account button , then solve the security challenge as following 

 4- It will show you this page 

as you can see you have two options to verify your account , you decide which option you will choose  , we will explain the second option now ( Link your debit or credit card ) , and I will discuss adding bank account in a later post as people from un- supported countries in paypal can't add their bank accounts , it will give them this message ,

Bank Accounts isn’t available

PayPal doesn’t offer this feature at this time.

so they will have to open an US paypal account with a Valid US payment address account , and best option to get it is to have a Payoneer account which I'm going to discuss in the next post .

so let's get back to the point , adding debit or credit card , in the right section press continue button 

 you will have this screen , enter your name on card , card type , card number , expiration date and card verification number ( you will find it on the back of card , it will be the last 3 digits ) , note that PayPal will dispute a tiny sum of less than 2$ as a confirmation step to ensure that you are the real owner of the card , and it will deposit it back to your PayPal account , and they will send a confirmation code to the card , to know it  call the card issuer and inform from them about the last transaction on the card or login to your card issuer website and view the transactions on card , sending code will take about 2-3 days , maybe more or less , and it will be on this form (PP*xxxxCode ) x is number .

 after they send the code copy it and and paste it in the cell of it

 Congratulations , you have verified your account 

or you can skip this step by logging out and re-login 

5- Here you will enter the page which will ask you to choose security questions as following 

after choosing the two questions and their answers click ( submit) 

6- Now you have your account but it just needs to confirm your email and the credit card ( if you skipped this step ) or bank account

after you login , point  the cursor on ( profile ) , you will have a drop menu , choose (My settings ) , you will be redirected to this page 

  7- Press unconfirmed and it will take you to the following page

 8- Now , check your email inbox and find the mail sent by PayPal 

 you have the freedom to link your card now ( if you skipped this step before) or wait if you don't have one at this moment , or login and just confirm email and add bank account or credit card later , it's all up to you 
note : Paypal may ask you for email confirmation code , it didn't ask me to enter it , but in case it asked you , you will find it in the message they sent 


 9- Login to your account , you have confirmed your email now , or they may ask you to enter confirmation code as mentioned in previous step , and if you skipped adding credit card step and want to add it now follow the next image 

 choose either ( Add/Edit credit Card ) option from the drop down menu or click ( Get verified ) and complete the steps as mentioned in step 4 .

 After finishing all steps , Congratulations , you have your Paypal verified account , and you can receive payments now
