Tips to make money on Clickbank as an affiliate

in the previous post I explained how to join clickbank , today I'm going to show you the way to promote products and make money as an affiliate .

How I promote products ?
Most newbies in Clickbank don't know the right way to promote clickbank products , all they do is to copy the promoting link and paste it in random places on the internet places , and the readers see it once and don't feel keen to buy it then they leave and don't come back again , so the newbie affiliates don't make money from clickbank and they quit in the beginning .

So I'm going to tell you the right order to promote the product . 

First step : choosing your niche :
It's more likely to promote a product that is in your field of interest , say for example you are a doctor , so you are going to sell products that are related to health category , or you are a computer expert or a programmer , so you will sell books about computers or software that you are professional in , or you are a financial advisor or you have a very good or excellent knowledge about stock markets or Forex , so you are going to sell products in this field , and so on , as you know most of or all points that your customer must know about something you are good at . 

Second step : Building platform and getting audience :
To make a lot of sales , you must have a lot of interested people in the products you promote , there are many ways to build audience , the most common and effective ways of them are listed below :

1- many  blogs and websites suggest ways such as facebook and article sites , of course they work , but they have much less possibilities to make sales through comparing to this way , which is building a mail list .

 2- Create a blog or a website that talks about your niche or your field of interest , or if you have already one , create a squeeze page ( will be discussed in a later lesson ) to build your mail list , make a free short book about your niche to download for free , this way makes you able to reach to people who are interested in your niche which makes promoting products easier , instead of making people see your link or product once and then you lose them and you can't find them again, this way will require little more effort but the gains will make the effort is worthy .
You can also write reviews about products in your site/blog , and put banner ads for the product in your blog/site , but it won't be the same effectiveness as marketing via email.
note : some people may consider sending marketing mails to people spam , well , to not make it spam don't send mails in a bothering way ( such as sending a mail every 6 hours or every day ) , to avoid to be a spammer just send maximum 2 mails per week to your followers .

3- Link your blog or website with social media networks ( facebook,twitter , youtube,Google+...etc) , create a page on facebook about your blog/site or a channel on youtube or both , to get more audience to your site/blog , and make them a connected chain 

 Note: don't start selling immediately after you create your site/blog , this will give your audience a wrong feedback about you which is you just want to take their money , first you have to present a good content that is useful to your readers , make them trust you and like and make use of the ideas you give them , make them feel that you really want to help them , so that they will accept your suggestions about the products you promote to them

4- The least effective way is article marketing , but a lot of people and most of them are newbies in affiliate marketing use it as it is easy , simple , fast , and free .
I won't say that it has no gains , but the gains are very few and it takes a long time to have a customer bought your suggested product , plus , as I mentioned previously , the person who sees it and goes you never see him again, it depends on your skill in article marketing and how is your ability to affect people and convince them to buy
However , for people who rely on this method , here is some tips : Post an honest reviews about the product with good quality articles , you can use free article sites such as Ezine articles or Go articles for this concern , or you can join the forums which are about your field of interest and put the banner of products in your signature .

Third step : choosing the product :
Now we reached to promoting step , there are some factors you must take into consideration.

You must make researches first about particular product before promoting it , so you have to choose products which are really useful and help people , because if you promote a product which is a scam , no one will trust you again to buy any product event if it was perfect , you are recommended to buy the product to know whether it is worthy for promoting or it is a scam , but if you don't want to buy the product for any reason , so you must know if it is legit or scam to have the trust of your customers when you promote to them any product , you have to be honest with your customers to make them trust you and make them feel that you really want to help them , not to take their money  .

So to know that any product is legit or scam without buying it so you have to hear from real users of it ,not to rely on the fake reviews in blogs or fake testimonials in the product landing page , you can use Yahoo Answers or you go to the forums that have people who already used the product and it has a positive results and good reputation .
Another factor which is ( competition ) which means that the product you choose isn't too competitive , because in this case there are a lot of people who sell it and it will affect your earnings , also it must not be with very few sales , it may be a sign that the product isn't so successful ( unless the product was recently created and published so it isn't known yet but it will be known by the time )  , so let me illustrate in the next figure 

 
1- Avg $/sale : The average amount of commission expected per sale in dollars
2- Avg % / sale : the average percentage of commission per sale 
3- Gravity : is the popularity and saleability of the  product

Most of time you have to choose the product which has Gravity between 50 and 100 
because more than 100 is too competitive and less than 50 has very few customers .
The only case to choose a product that has less than 50 gravity is this product was new , another way to know the best selling products is this site : CB engine
this site will show you the statics you desire about particular product .

Third factor  is the commission , it's much better to choose a product that has more than 50% commission and more than 25 $ 

Fourth factor is the design of landing page of product , if the product webpage has a beautiful look it will make the customer feel keen to buy the product and feel that the owner has done a lot of effort to make the product good .

Fourth and last step : Promoting product :
After you created your platform and had audience and chose the product , it's time to promote it  .

First log in to your ClickBank account and go to marketplace 

then to the section where your chosen product is 

 
Then click ( promote ) next to product link and description

 
 there are a pop-up window will appear like this

 your account nickname will be generated automatically in the nickname space , click create , then you will get this

copy the highlighted link and paste it in your marketing article or email , or your review post in your blog/site ... etc , and every one purchases the product via this link you will get your commission deposited to your Clickbank account , and once your balance reaches the minimum payout limit they will send to your payoneer account automatically when the payout duration ends ( week or two weeks as you selected , read the previous lesson ) , it will take about 2-7 business days to have the payment deposited to your payoneer account after the balance reaches minimum payout limit and the duration ends , which means you will wait 2-7 extra days after
balance reaches minimum payout limit and the duration ends
